Dr. Rodríguez Ruiz graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica as a Physician and Surgeon. He later specialized in Ophthalmology at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Argentina.
He has been working in the Ophthalmology department at Hospital Escalante Pradilla for more than 10 years. He has also worked as Ophthalmologist in the private area.
At present, Dr. Rodriguez Ruiz is part of the medical staff at Clinica Labrador, and he is one of its founding partners together with Dr. Yamil Solano and Dr. Santiago Masis.
He is part of the small group of Ophthalmologists in Pérez Zeledón, who are the only specialists in diseases and eye surgery as well as eye test -refraction, visual examination, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Rodriguez Ruiz is a well experienced surgeon in several procedures of his area, such as cataract surgery with the placing of intraocular lens, strabismus, and others.
